No disrespect to Buster Merryfield, who had a fair stab at filling the void left by Leonard Pearce, but you just can't beat Granddad. Well, you could beat Granddad, but you'll only be able to go so far before the old lady in the bungalow next door rings the sheltered housing people, and the next thing you know your picture is in the local paper.
